Part 400 - Christ-Centered Math Lessons Guide: Level A

Why do we believe that our Christ-Centered Math is the best foundation possible? In contrast to tacking on a Bible verse here and there to basically secular materials, our unique program is derived from mathematical truths rooted in Scripture. In other words, math is truth, because God made it that way. It is something you can always rely on. So we hope you will enjoy the concreteness of math, and pass that joy on to your children! God�s creation, which is the theme of Level A math, is so reflective of His grandeur that it ought to bring us all to our knees shouting: �You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep� (Ps. 92:4-5).

Math Level A: Use with 4-year-olds (K4), 5-year-olds (K5), beginning 1st graders (B1st), or those who are just starting their math instruction. Level A covers: number concepts 1-20; number recognition 0-100; counting to 100 by 1's, 10's, and 5's; counting backwards from 20-0; counting by 2's to 100; missing numbers in sequence 0-100 (by 1's, 10's, 5's, 2's); greater than/less than 0-100; addition facts 1-10; adding multiple numbers (e.g., 3+2+4+1); subtraction facts 1-10; and simple addition/subtraction word problems.

Christ-Centered Math Lessons Guide: Level A is divided according to concepts; each lesson represents a particular concept. Part 402 - Christ-Centered Math Lessons Guide: Level B

Note: Some mathematical relationships are understood quickly, but others come more slowly, and only after repeated exposure. In teaching any mathematical operation, expect your child to catch on to the �how to�s� long before understanding the �whys� and �wherefores.� That is very normal. This is a problem that will follow math students all their lives. Just faithfully keep on teaching because you�re trusting God, the Teacher of All Knowledge (Ps. 94:10), to cause understanding to �click� according to your child�s perfect timetable.
