Note: Some mathematical relationships are understood quickly, but others come more slowly, and only after repeated exposure. In teaching any mathematical operation, expect your child to catch on to the �how to�s� long before understanding the �whys� and �wherefores.� That is very normal. This is a problem that will follow math students all their lives. Just faithfully keep on teaching because you�re trusting God, the Teacher of All Knowledge (Ps. 94:10), to cause understanding to �click� according to your child�s perfect timetable.

Math Level B: Use with 5-year-olds (K5) beginning 1st graders (B1st), or those who have already completed Level A math concepts and know the 1-10 addition/subtraction facts well. Level B covers: place value (1's, 10's, and 100's); two and three digit addition/subtraction (no renaming); greater than/less than to 999; numeration (read and write a number) 0-20; counting by 3's and 4's to 100; missing numbers in sequence to 100; fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4); time (hour, half-hour, quarter-hour, 5 minute increments); money (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, half-dollars, dollars); addition facts 11-18; adding multiple numbers (e.g., 5+3+6+2); subtraction facts 11-18, equation theory and word problems---all taught from their roots in Scripture! Christ-Centered Math Lessons Guide: Level B is divided according to concepts; each lesson represents a particular concept. Christ-Centered Math Workbook: Level B pages that correlate with the lesson are noted just to the right of a lesson's heading (e.g., MWB:B pp. 1-3). The "TEACHER NOTE" lets you know how many days are normally recommended to teach each concept. CHARACTER TRAINING tips (for students and parents) will help you further reinforce the importance of godly character.
